Detox For Health
I want to Detox. Okay, there are countless ways to detox the body.
You can try a variety of things. As a nutritionist, I like to look at food first.
My favorite detox method is using the food from the grocery store that feeds and nourishes your body.
Food is fuel. Real whole foods are healing and can be detoxing.
Most of us are eating drive through, frozen or packaged foods. Most people eat "food-like substances” that have no counterpart in nature. These foods are void of nutrition. Most of us know that junk food is unhealthy. We know that poor nutrition is related to a variety of health issues including: blood sugar balance, high blood pressure, sore joints, heart issues and other health problems. Did you know that studies show how eating junk food has even been linked to increases in anxiety and depression?
A great (inexpensive) way to begin a healthy detox is to try the Elimination Diet. We make 3 choices daily with food. Why not choose food that will nourish and energize us instead of wear us down with a variey of health isses? The Elimination diet basically eliminates the common "sensitive or allergic" food from our diet. By utlizing this program you may discover that you do have a few food intolerances or sensitivities that may provoke inflammation and prevent you from experiencing optimum health.
