Nutrition Consultation By Phone

How Phone Consulting Works

phone-me Phone consultation works very effectively for most people. While face to face counseling has certain benefits, phone consulting is often more convenient for the average person with a busy lifestyle.
If you are interested in setting up a phone consultation, please email me a one paragraph description of your health concerns and goals. Include best times for you to schedule a phone appointment (ie: morning, afternoon or evenings, specific days, etc. I will email back, and if I feel that this is a good match, we will firm up an appointment.

What's involved
Individual Nutrition Counseling Individual nutrition consultations are the best way for you to learn about your personal nutritional needs. When you hear or read about various nutrition recommendations or advice, you don’t really know if it applies to you. Sure, you may be experiencing some symptoms that the advice claims to address but your medical history, lifestyle choices, food preferences, etc. are not taken into account.
An individual consult is one of those times when it truly is “all about you.”

Pre-assessment through Nutrition Intake Forms
Once an appointment is scheduled, I will send you my intake forms by email or fax. These include health history, symptom assessment, agreement forms, and a 5-7 day food diary. We will look at not just what you eat, but how your diet affects your energy and moods.

I will need to receive these back by fax or email, at least three days prior to our first appointment. This gives me time to review the forms, and helps to maximize our time together. If you have recent blood tests or other lab reports, I will ask you to fax them to me also.

The Initial intake session will be scheduled for 60 minutes to get further information about your health condition, lifestyle and goals.

Based on this information I will make recommendations for dietary and lifestyle changes. Specific meal plans and suggestions for breakfast, lunch and dinner will be discussed. If appropriate and if time permits, I will make recommendations for nutritional supplements. Otherwise this will be discussed in the follow up session.

A second 30 minute follow up session will be scheduled, usually 7 to 14 days after your first appointment. Your progress will be reviewed, challenges discussed and we will make any necessary changes to your program.

For most clients, I strongly recommend the 90-Day Program commitment in order to see progress. My experience has taught me that each person has unique needs and therefore I am flexible with schedule planning.
